About the project

We ask our students to exchange emails with the following topics: presenting me & my family, our school & school life & Christmas traditions in Germany & Slovakia. The little project shall end with Christmas cards being sent from one class to another.

Aims

The students, who are still beginners in the foreign language classroom, shall use and practise their foreign language skills in an authentic situation, get personal information about life & traditions in another European country that they (probably) don't know .

Expected results

The expected result is gaining new knowledge about family life, school life and Christmas traditions in another European country; practicing foreign language skills

 

Timetable

 

8th - 12th November: first emails sent from German class to Slovakian pupils; topic: me & my family
15th - 19th November: answer mails from Slovakia: me & my family
22nd-26th November: second mails sent from Germany; topic: our school & school life
29th November - 2nd December: answer mails from Slovakia: our school & school life
6th - 10th December: third mails sent from Germany; topic: Christmas traditions in Germany
13th - 17th December: answer mails from Slovakia; topic: Christmas traditions in Slovakia
